After months of inactivity, I finally dug this piece of art up and brought it to an end. I'm very pleased how it worked out concerning the colours and the finishing details (spider web and the bird). Before that it simply didn't feel complete and at times I felt unpleasant xD;;;

However, the concept behind this picture was originally as simple as it could be: I had the painting program up and running but no ideas for what so ever. Then I asked a friend what I should draw and she said "Draw a Shikamaru *Q*". So I sketched a Shikamaru and later on I began a background. That was nearly a year ago. ;;; Haven't felt much like painting the last months, until now. *yay*

The babydragons are forming Shikamarus animal partners. I think of dragons as incredible wise creatures and as Shikamaru is very intelligent and doesn't like to fight, I consider them a good match. Words have been saying, that a deer would have been a better choice. Well, until yesterday, I didn't even know. Next time maybe.
